Abstract: Stateowned assets in provincial agricultural research institutions are important material base and necessary guarantees for performing institution functions and providing public products and services. Along with the progress of Chinas stateowned assets management system reform, it is an urgent task to strengthen the management of stateowned assets in provincial agricultural research institutions, increase the efficiency in the use of stateowned assets and ensure and promote the development of undertakings. This paper started with analyzing the characteristics of stateowned assets in provincial agricultural research institutions, revealed the problems in management of stateowned assets, and put forward the proper basic concept in the process of strengthening the management of stateowned assets; meanwhile, put forward the specific measures and methods of innovation management of stateowned assets in provincial agricultural research institutions from the perspectives of strengthening stateowned assets infrastructure construction and informatization construction, carrying out the compensation for use of stateowned assets and strengthening the declaration administration budget．
