薄荷同源多倍体的生物学性状观察

Observation on biological characters of autopolyploid of mint (Mentha haplocalyx Briq.)

摘要: 对薄荷3个品种68-7、73-8、沪-39的染色体加倍植株进行增殖、生根和炼苗移栽,并观察统计了各阶段植株的生物学性状。结果表明:薄荷3个品种加倍株的增殖率、生根数及移栽成活率均低于正常株;在组培条件下,除品种68-7加倍株的生长速率小于正常株外,其他两个品种的加倍株和正常株的生长速率差异不显著;染色体加倍植株的叶形发生了显著变化,主茎变粗,节间变短,叶绿素含量显著增高,表现出了明显的多倍体特性;正常植株及其染色体加倍植株的气孔保卫细胞中叶绿体数目变化有一定的规律,可以作为薄荷倍性育种中染色体倍性变异材料的快速鉴定的依据。

Abstract: The chromosome-doubled plants of mint cultivars 68-7, 73-8 and HU-39 were cultured in vitro for multiplication, rooting and transplanting, and then their biological characters were investigated. The results showed that the multiplication rate, rooting number and transplanting survival rate of the chromosome-doubled plants were lower than that of the control plants cultivar 68-7, while the other two cultivars had approximately similar growth rate comparing with control plants. The chromosome-doubled plantlets of three cultivars had a change of leaf shape, their main stems became thicker, nodes became shorter and chlorophyll content became significantly higher. The number of chloroplasts in guard cell of stomata showed a regular pattern between chromosome-doubled and normal plants of three cultivars, which can be considered as a rapid method to assess polyploids of mint cultivars in early stage.
