Abstract: The progress in transmission mode of field information in precision agriculture was reviewed. Firstly, the importance of transmission mode of field information in precision agriculture was described. Secondly, the characters of wired and wireless transport medium and application fields and the developmental trends were introduced in detail. Thirdly, the comprehensive properties of different methods were compared. Finally, problems in nowadays and trends in future of transmission mode of field information in precision agriculture were proposed．
