Abstract: As an important part of urban agriculture, urban fishery has a fundamental function to the economical and social development in the city. On the basis of definition and analysis of urban fisheries connotation, characteristic, type, developing direction, this paper deeply analyzed development status of Tianjin urban fishery and found that it was still in early stage. Problems such as low level of industrial development, unscientific development mode and weak capability of innovation were discovered. Finally, development paths, directions and corresponding measures of Tianjin urban fishery were put forward from industrial transformation and upgrading as well as transforming development mode．
