Abstract: The volatile components of petitgrain oil were analyzed by GC/MS, and the peak area normalization method was used to calculate the relative content of each component. With the mass spectrometry library search, 56 compounds which accounted for 97.471% in the volatile components of petitgrain oil, were confirmed using retention index comparison. Linalyl acetate (30.685%), linalool(22.166%), alphaterpineol(9.040%), geranyl acetate(5.696%), myrcene(3.716%), neryl acetate(3.573%), limonene(3.263%), betapinene(2.943%), nerol(2.314%), (E)betaocimene(1.941%), betacaryophyllene(1.851%), gammaterpineol(1.557%), alphapinene,(1.332%), (Z)betaocimene(1.300%) were the main components. The cis(trans)isomers were confirmed by retention index, and the accuracy of compound qualitative analysis in natural flavor was improved. These results provided the technical support for the development and application of petitgrain oil.
