Abstract: In order to study spatial pattern of rurality in Zhejiang Province， the rurality index and evaluation model was constructed in the present paper based on previous research. Taking 69 counties and cities in Zhejiang Province as empirical units， the spatial pattern of rurality in Zhejiang Province was quantitatively analyzed with ArcGIS and GeoDA software. It was shown that the spatial pattern of rurality in Zhejiang Province exhibited a strong trend of spatial correlation and the aggregation kept growing in general. From the local perspective， “hot spots” of rurality concentrated in the southwest Zhejiang， and its spatial structure headed to the west， and increased progressively. While， “cold spots” of rurality concentrated in the northwest Zhejiang， and decreased remarkably over time.
