Abstract: In the present study， the landscape of old trees with surroundings in the West Lake Scenic Area in Hangzhou was evaluated based on SBE method， and an evaluation model constructed by multivariate linear regression and SD landscape element separation method. The results showed that old trees alone exhibited the highest ornamental value， followed by combinations with other landscape elements. Old trees shape， growth vigor and seasonal changes were the main influencing factors.
