Abstract: In this study, a recombinant inbred population consisting of 178 lines, derived from the cross of a japonica (D50) and an indica (HB277) were used to investigate its genetic diversity. We have constructed a genetic linkage map with 104 SSR markers, which covered 1 323 cM genetic distance of rice genome and 11.6 cM average genetic distance between each marker. And then, we have discovered 10 out of 28 starch synthesis-related genes can amplify stable polymorphism among 178 plants, after added them into linkage map, eighteen QTLs were discovered. At last, SPSS statistical software was used to explain the interrelationship between starch synthesis-related genes and cooking and eating quality, and the results were mainly the same as QTL's.
