Abstract: The typical greenbelt vegetation NCSH of Hangzhou western residential areas from greenbelt adjacent to the house， roads greenbelt and central greenbelt was investigated and studied with the method of typical greenbelt sampling by field measuring and visual inspecting etc. Meanwhile， the characteristics of residential areas greenbelt vegetation and the existing problems and deficiencies were quantitatively analyzed and evaluated. Furthermore， strategies and suggestions of optimization were proposed in order to provide the reasonable reference and suggestions for future residential areas greenbelt construction．
