Preliminary study on roof agriculture

Abstract: The roof cultivation experiments were carried out in several places with different crops including grain, vegetables, melon and fruits. The results showed that most crops had good yields when grown on the flat or sloping roofs with thin or thick layer of soil. In conclusion, it is feasible to plant crops on roof and there was no essential difference in roof agriculture and land agriculture.
