Abstract: By means of assigning (0,0,1),(0,1,0),(-1,-1,0),(1,0,0) to the four bases A, G, C and T, a DNA sequence is transformed into a 24dimensional vector. Based on this and the Fisher linear discriminant algorithm, we proposed a computational method to predict success for PCR. Our report is based on 189 amplicons randomly selected from human exons, and our method achieves an accuracy of 90%.
