Abstract: Coat protein gene of Ornithogalum mosaic virus(OrMV)was amplified from a virus infected Narcissus bulbocodium sample from UK by RT-PCR．The coat protein of OrMV was prokatyofic expressed，purified and used in
preparation of antisenun againstthe virus．OrMV then was detected in local and imported narcissussamples using this antiserum by an indirect ELISA method, and serological relationship between OrMV and other narcissus viruses were discussed．
