The intelligent monitoring and management platform for environment of facility agriculture in Zhejiang Province

Abstract: Based on the hardware for environment monitoring and the knowledge models of agriculture, a platform of environment monitoring and intelligent management for facility agriculture in Zhejiang was presented to advance precision, intelligence and automation management level. This platform achieved online video surveillance and realtime acquisition of environmental data such as temperature, humidity, light intensity, soil water content etc. Furthermore, the functions as growth period prediction, warning messages sending, automatic remote control of equipment, and other management aid were realized. With the blockbased design and Browser/Server structure, hardware of sensors and facility depending on their requirements to make up system was convenient and flexible. Application results showed that this platform has high reliability and universality, which could be applied to different types of greenhouse in Zhejiang with wide developmental prospects.
