Evaluating the supply efficiency of the rural productive public goods: A case of Hubei Province

Abstract: As China entering the period of industry nurturing agriculture, financial funds for agriculture have grown substantially, and then improving efficiency of funds service is important as well as increasing fiscal input. Evaluating the supply efficiency of rural public goods in Hubei Province, a big agricultural province, is the premise of improving service efficiency of fiscal input. Based on the non\|parameter DEA model, the supply efficiency of rural productive public goods in Hubei Province in the past 20 years was evaluated and the relative efficiency to the other fellow provinces was estimated. It was concluded that Hubei Province had the trend of supply efficiency of rural productive public goods decreasing and relative efficiency was low among the 13 granary provinces.
