Abstract: A total of 98 major rice varieties in Zhejiang Province from 2002 to 2006 and 155 rice varieties in Zhejiang provincial regional trial from 2007 to 2008 were assayed with a set of DNA fingerprint testing system on rice variety. A DNA fingerprint database containing genotypic data of 279 rice variety times 12 marker loci was constructed. The polymorphism of different markers and genetic similarity of varieties in the DNA fingerprint database were analyzed. Based on the DNA fingerprint database，the distinctness of all rice varieties and consistency of the same varieties in different years were identified. It was found that 11 varieties of 5 groups had no obvious distinctness within groups，and discrepancy existed in the same variety in different years.
