Abstract: Peasant household concurrent occupation is a transitional style and phenomenon of dual economic transforming period. Although it is transitional, it also showed long-term proportionality, which attracted many researchers attention. Firstly, western scholars classic theories were reviewed in this paper. Secondly, the research status of eastern scholars, especially Chinese academic circle, was introduced, including the mainstream and non-mainstream school of the theory, empirical analysis results, and several important problems of concurrent occupation effect such as transform, usage and productivity of land, etc. Lastly, conclusive comments and developing directions were put forward．
