Abstract: As a new subject of agriculture business， family farm is the orientation of the development of the modern agriculture. Because of the imperfection of the family farm registration system， the legal status is lack of clarity in the law， the property system is not uniform， legal responsibility is still not clear and so on， which have hindered its further development. The source of these series of problems was that there was no clear definition on the legal attribute of family farm， so it could not distinguish the family farm from the other subjects of agriculture business.
