Research progress on breeding and utilization of oilused Camellia L．

Abstract

Abstract: Genus Camellia L. is a woodoil species which has a very long cultivated history in southern China. In the article, research progresses of C. oleifera breeding including selecting,breeding and molecular markerassisted selection/ breeding were reviewed. Nutritive/chemical composition of C. oleifera oil was evaluated. Processing method and processing techniques of C. oleifera oil were summarized.Comprehensive utilization of its byproducts was introduced. Finally, the application prospect of the nonedible Camellia oils used in the bioenergy industry was discussed．
