Abstract: This paper discussed briefly the meaning and values ofurban biodiversity as well as the process ofdevelopment of urban biodiversity conservation，analyzed especially approaches to urban biodivemity conservation．As results of the thesis，two standpoints are put forward．One is that landscape eco-planning is the best approach to urban biodiversity conservation．And the other is that the ultimate purpose of urban biodiversity conservation is to establish sustainable cities by constructing sustainable urban landscape ecosystem．
