Abstract: Soil fertility of 514 soil samples in the rapeseed production district in Tonglu County was investigated in 2010. The results showed that the contents of organic matter ranged from 169 to 300 g·kg-1, with an average of 233 g·kg-1. The contents of total N were 093~234 g·kg-1, and the average was 173 g·kg-1. The contents of available N, P and K were 187~2680 mg·kg-1, 06~1331 mg·kg-1 and 1~238 mg·kg-1, respectively, with the average of 827, 157 and 636 mg·kg-1, respectively. Based on the available N, P and K content, nutrient deficiency area accounted for 681%, 467%, and 693%, respectively, of the total rapeseed fields in the present study. Rapeseed yield was significantly correlated with soil available N contents (r=0851**, n=15) and soil available P (r=0553*, n=15). But no significant relationship was found within the contents of organic matter, total N and available K with rapeseed yield.
