Abstract: One Pratylenchus population was collected in the roots and growing media of Acer plmatum imported from Japan by plant quarantine lab of Zhejiang entryexit inspection and Quarantine Bureau，China. A rich community of female and larvae in this population were detected， but no male was found. Morphological and molecular identification confirmed that this population on Acer plmatum Thunb imported from Japan was Pratylenchus hippeastri. The distribution of P. hippeastri in China has not been reported; therefore it is quarantine nematode in China(Pratylenchus nonChinese species) which was firstly intercepted in China
