Investigation on plant diversity in city riparian zone—a case study of the Beijing\|Hangzhou Grand Canal in Hangzhou

Abstract: Species composition of the Beijing\|Hangzhou Grand Canal in Hangzhou was investigated by typical sampling method, and species diversity index was analyzed. The results are shown as follows: the arbor layer and the shrub show more complexity than the herb layer in the community structure in the urban district; while the community structure of the herb layer is the richest in the suburbs and owed the highest position.
