Abstract:

This study introduces fuzzy mathematics theory into the land suitability evaluation for citrus planting.By taking Tongshan County in Hubei Province as an example, 207 soil sample points were collected from local agricultural land, and climate, soil and topographic data were converted into fuzzy membership data. Then, the analytic hierarchy process and fuzzy mathematics method in the ArcGIS software environment were combined, and a suitability evaluation model of citrus planting land containing 15 indicators was established. The results showed that 26.94% (652.37 km2), 32.85% (795.51 km2), 23.14% (560.42 km2) and 17.07% (413.40 km2) of the land in this area were highly suitable, moderately suitable, marginally suitable and not suitable for citrus production, respectively. The research results were consistent with the actual production, indicating that the established research methods were feasible and could provide references for improving land utilization efficiency and better guiding citrus production.
