Abstract: In order to explore the effects of different conditions on maturity of vermicomposting of hogwash waste, the present research using corn straw, greening garbage, tealeaf residue and soil was carried out. It was shown that addition of earthworm could improve the total N (TN) content and the composting efficiency, and thus reduce the degradation time. Composting with corn straw or greening garbage could increase microbial activity, and reduce C/N and toxicity after decomposition. But, composting with corn straw could easily cause TN leaching. Among all conditioners, soil could save the most of the degradation time for the organic matter, and therefore was the most effective choice.
