Effect of culture condition on pollen germination of kiwifruit

Abstract

Abstract: The factors influencing pollen germination and tube length of kiwi in vitro were reported, including-different culture time, pH values, culture medium and culture temperature. The results showed that the most suitable culture medium for pollen germination and tube growth was 10％ sucrose+100 mg·L-1 boric acid+10 mg·L-1 Ca(NO3)2.The suitable culture time was 5 hours, the best temperature for pollen germination and growth was 30℃ and the suitable pH value of culture medium was 6.0.
