Abstract: Foreign body in canine stomach is the common and frequently encountered disease in veterinary clinic. Precise diagnosis of this disease is the most important process for effective treatment. Nine different physical characteristic foreign bodies in canine stomach were checked with normal X-ray technology so as to evaluate their diagnostic values. The foreign bodies were different in size， shape and density （for example， cotton， wood block， solid plastic ball， bone and metal pipe）. The results indicated that radiograph could clearly show high-density foreign bodies with their shape， size， character and location， but couldnt obviously show low-density and middle-density foreign bodies．
