Abstract: In order to explore the effective agricultural methods to control the apple snails， Pomacea canaliculata， several practices commonly applied in the paddy field were compared. The results showed that two ways should be the most effective and economic， i.e. 1） combinations of manual\|picking （eggs of the apple snails） and canal screening， and 2） combinations of paddy\|upland rotation and canal screening.
