Abstract: The effect of different substrates on the propagation of tea plug seedling was studied with peat soil, perlite, vermiculite, loess and river sand as raw materials. The results showed that the cutting survival rate, root and tea plant growth were significantly increased by using lightmedium such as peat soil, perlite, vermiculite and so on. The survival rate, plant height, stem diameter and number of new leaves in the substrate of peatperlite(5∶1) were higher than other treatments.
