Abstract: Through a comprehensive search on domestic and foreign patents of crop diseases and pests control technology， the significant differences in the type of patent and the layout direction of main countries， and the patent technology and the key breakthrough， the locking patent in different fields of technology， the patentee (the applicant) ranking， patent technology active period were analyzed according to the important technical classification including chemical control， biological control， physical control etc. Some countermeasures were put forward that the governments guiding role should be strengthened and the enterprises should draw up the important patent strategy choices including intellectual property strategy in the field of crop diseases and pests control technology based on their own needs.
