Abstract: To provide better service to barley breeding and barley hybrids purity test in future, SSR markers were used for hybrids identification in this study. The results showed that a kind of fast, effective and economical method of barley hybrid identification was obtained by the comparison of two kinds of DNA extraction methods and two kinds of detection methods． The method of simple DNA extraction combined with agarose gel electrophoresis could identify barley hy brids rapidly, efficiently and economicly.
