Abstract: The peritoneal capillary permeability test, xylene induced auricular swelling test and carrageenan induced paw edema test were used to study the anti-inflammatory effect of Zornia diphylla (L.) Pers. Compared with the model control group, Zornia diphylla (L.) Pers inhibited the penetration of capillary vessel, decreased the swelling rate of auricle and paw in mice and relieved the pathological changes of the toes swelling and the exudation of PGE2 in the inflammatory site after intragastric administration for 5 days. These results showed that Zornia diphylla (L.) Pers had inhibitory effects on acute inflammation in mice, and the mechanism may be related to the reduction of PGE2 in the inflammatory sites.
