    Effect of application of amino acid fertilizer on spring maize cultivation under nitrogen reduction

    In order to explore the effect of application of amino acid fertilizer on spring maize cultivation under nitrogen reduction, a field plot experiment was conducted with 6 treatments: N0, no nitrogen applied; U100, conventional N rate, 250 kg·hm-2; U80, N reduction by 20% compared with U100; U60, N reduction by 40% compared with U100; A80, application of amino acid fertilization based on U80; A60, application of amino acid fertilization based on U60. The yield, and main physiological characteristics at tasseling period, nitrogen uptake and utilization of maize at maturity period under different treatments were determined. It was shown that compared with U100, N reduction rate of 20% (U80 and A80 treatments) did not significantly decrease maize yield, yet significantly (P<0.05) increased nitrogen use efficiency by 35.8%-38.8% and harvest index by 41.8%-57.2%. When N reduction rate was 40%, maize yield was significantly (P<0.05) decreased by 20.6% under U60 treatment as compared with U100, yet maize yield was not significantly changed under A60 treatment. Besides, the nitrogen use efficiency was significantly (P<0.05) increased by 30.0% under A60 treatment as compared with U100. However, A60 and U60 treatments had no significant effect on harvest index of maize as compared with U100. Under the same N reduction rate, the intracellular CO2 concentration, chlorophyll content (SPAD value), photosynthetic nitrogen use efficiency, and activities of glutamic oxaloacetic transaminase and glutamate dehydrogenase under A80 treatment were significantly (P<0.05) elevated as compared with U80 treatment, and the transpiration rate and activities of glutamine synthetase and glutamate synthase were significantly (P<0.05) elevated under A60 treatment as compared with U60 treatment. Thus, it was concluded that N reduction rate of 20% would not decrease maize yield based on the conventional N rate under the experiment conditions. Under the same N rate, application of amino acid fertilizers would further increase nitrogen use efficiency.

    Determination and comparative analysis of physicochemical properties of different sunflower seeds

    To clarify the physicochemical properties and utilization value of different types of sunflower seeds, the contents of crude protein, crude fat, amino acids, beneficial heavy metal elements, vitamin E and phytosterol, fatty acid composition and antioxidant activity of three different types of sunflower seeds were detected. The results revealed that the crude fat content of Ornamental Sunflower Alps Orange Red Picotee and edible sunflower JZ055 were 44.55% and 41.20%, respectively, which were lower than that of Oil Sunflower Longkuiza 6 (49.93%), but the crude protein content was 39.50% and 17.85% higher than the latter; 17 amino acids were detected in three kinds of sunflower seeds, glutamic acid content rank the first; The composition and content of fatty acids in their grains were similar, with linolenic acid (72.77%-76.39%) and oleic acid (14.62%-17.55%). The content of linolenic acid in Alps Orange Red Picotee and JZ055 was lower than that of Longkuiza 6, while the content of oleic acid was higher than that of Longkuiza 6; the contents of beneficial metals such as calcium, iron, magnesium and zinc in Alps Orange Red Picotee were the highest, which were 1.39, 143.72, 6.27 and 96.18 mg·g-1, respectively which were significantly higher than those of the other two types;. The content of vitamin E and β-sitosterol in Longkuiza 6 ranked the first, which were 96.44 and 715.88 μg·g-1, respectively. The content of rapeseed sterol was the highest in JZ055 (5 205.20 μg·g-1), and ergosterol in Alps Orange Red Picotee (5.08 μg·g-1) In terms of antioxidant activity, there was no significant difference among different types of sunflower, the DPPH value ranged from 12.68 to 12.81. In general, different types of sunflower seeds contain the same test components, but the contents are different. Compared with oil sunflower, edible sunflower and Ornamental Sunflower seeds share the same character of oil value.

    Combined with high-resolution melting curve analysis technology, 17 pairs of core simple sequence repeats (SSR) primers were screened out for genetic diversity analysis and DNA fingerprint construction of 32 sunflower lines collected from Zhejiang Province.The results of cluster analysis showed that genetic diversity among the 32 materials was relatively low, and genetic relationships among most of 32 materials were consistent with their geographical sources and types. This study innovated the identification method of sunflower germplasm resources, and laid a foundation for further research on identification of sunflower germplasm by microsatellite high-resolution melting technique.

    Developmental changes of amino acid profiles in muscle and serum and their correlation with muscle growth of Jinhua pigs

    In the present study, a total of 60 Jinhua piglets from the same batch were fed with commercial diets under the standard management. Four Jinhua pigs were randomly selected and slaughtered at 45, 90, 150 and 270 days of age, respectively, to determine the ribeye areas, and longissimus dorsi muscle and serum samples were collected to determine the content of amino acids and their derivatives. The results showed that the ribeye areas of Jinhua pigs significantly (P<0.05) increased with age. In the longissimus dorsi: essential amino acids content and total amino acids content significantly (P<0.05) increased first, then significantly (P<0.05) decreased and remained stable after; while nonessential amino acids content increased significantly (P<0.05) first, decreased significantly (P<0.05) later and then increased significantly (P<0.05). In the serum: essential amino acids content remained stable first, and then increased significantly (P<0.05); nonessential amino acids content decreased significantly (P<0.05) first, increased significantly (P<0.05) later and then remained stable; total amino acid content decreased significantly (P<0.05) first, then increased significantly (P<0.05). Most of the amino acids contents in muscle and serum were positively correlated with ribeye areas, where the contents of arginine, valine, isoleucine and leucine contents gave a strong positive correlation with ribeye areas, but glycine content in the muscle and serum was negatively associated with ribeye areas. In summary, the amino acid profiles in the muscle and serum of Jinhua pigs presented developmental changes, and arginine, valine, isoleucine and leucine contents were positively correlated with muscle growth.

    Genome-wide identification and expression of MRF gene family in embryonic development of Trachinotus ovatus

    In order to study the important role of myogenic regulator (MRF) in the embryonic development of Trachinotus ovatus, the whole genome identification and bioinformatics analysis of MRF gene family in T. ovatus were carried out, and the gene expression in 13 embryonic stages was quantitatively analyzed. Five MRF gene family members, MyoD1, MyoD2, Myf5, Myf6 and MyoG, encoding 297, 263, 240, 231 and 250 amino acids, respectively, were identified in T. ovatus genome data. The MRF family genes had a typical BASIC and HLH domains, where MyoD1, MyoD2 and MyoG were located on chromosome 9, 1 and 2 respectively, while Myf5 and Myf6 were located on chromosome 22 and at the same locus. Quantitative expression studies in embryos showed that the expression level of MyoG was very low during the period from zygote to embryo formed stage, while increased rapidly during the optic vesicle stage, otocyst vesicle stage and heart pulsation stage, but decreased at the formation of eye lens stage. It was speculated that MyoG may play a major role in the regulation of myogenesis during optic vesicle stage, otocyst vesicle stage and heart pulsation stage, but still play an important role in maintaining muscle morphology or muscle development in the later period. The expression levels of MyoD1, MyoD2, Myf5 and Myf6 genes were lower from the zygote to the mid-gastrulation stage, but increased rapidly from the late gastrulation to the formation of eye lens stage (P<0.05), indicating that they began to play an important role in the regulation of myogenesis from late gastrulation stage. The results showed that MRF family members played an important role in the process of embryonic development of T. ovatus, but different MRF family members may play different roles in different time and functions.

    qPCR detection of bacterial pathogens of respiratory diseases in calves of a dairy farm from Sichuan

    In order to explore the pathogens of bovine respiratory disease(BRD) in a large-scale dairy farm in Sichuan Province, TaqMan fluorescent quantitative PCR method was used to analyze 75 nasal cotton samples from the calves with respiratory disease symptoms and 10 other samples during 2019 to 2020 for common bacterial pathogens. The results showed that the detection rates of Pasteurella multocida(Pm), Histophilus somni(Hs), Mycoplasma bovis(Mb), Trueperella pyogenes(Tp) and Mannheimia haemolytica(Mh) were 57.33%(43/75), 38.67%(29/75), 13.33%(10/75), 12.00%(9/75), 8.00%(6/75). The single infection rate was 36.00% (27/75), mainly caused by Pm, accounting for 24.00%(18/75); the mixed infection rate was 40.00%(30/75), especially the mixed infection caused by Hs and Pm, accounted for 18.67%(14/75).The results showed that all five common BRD bacterial pathogens were detected, and there were many types of mixed infections. The high detection rate of Hs indicated that it had a certain connection with BRD in China, and it was necessary to carry out further epidemiological investigations nationwide.

    The purpose of this study was to determine the basic active region of chicken gga-miR-31-5p promoter, analyze the important transcription factors regulating its transcription and explore the expression and regulation mechanism of chicken gga-miR-31-5p. The promoter sequence of chicken gga-miR-31-5p was amplified by PCR and inserted into the pEGFP-N1 vector to construct the recombinant vector. The positive recombinant plasmids were identified by PCR with bacterial solution and sequencing, and then transfected into DF-1 cell lines to observe their priming activity. The transcription factor binding sites in gga-miR-31-5p promoter region were predicted using online prediction software. The results showed that the gga-miR-31-5p promoter fragment was cloned and its pEGFP recombinant vector was constructed successfully. The transfection results in vitro showed that the region had promoter activity, and important transcription factor binding sites such as RARα, ER, c-Jun and GR were found in the promoter region of chicken gga-miR-31-5p. The above results indicated that the promoter region of chicken gga-miR-31-5p was preliminarily determined, and the important transcription factor binding sites were found in this region, which lays a foundation for further study on the biological function of gga-miR-31-5p promoter.

    Effect of spraying water to mulberry in autumn on breeding of Bombyx mori original species by juvenile hormone pesticide pollution

    Juvenile hormone pesticides can cause chronic poisoning of silkworm (Bombyx mori), causing great economic losses to producing eggs of silkworm. To know whether spraying water in mulberry orchard can reduce the effect of juvenile hormone pesticide on the producing parent eggs of silkworm, mulberry tree was sprayed with water for 30 minutes every afternoon at the degree that the whole plant was wet and all the leaves were dripping water, from the beginning of the grandparent silkworm of F1 hybrid out of the warehouse to the end of cocooning. The 12 strains of grandparent silkworm of F1 hybrid were raised by mulberry leaves picked after spraying water treatment at the beginning of silkworm rearing, and the effects of mulberry leaves fed with water spraying on the body weight, instar course, cocoon formation rate, mating rate and oviposition of Bombyx mori were investigated. Test results indicated that after feeding the mulberry leaves treated with water spraying, the development process, healthy pupa rate, cocoon quality, mating rate and egg quality of the 12 strains of grandparent silkworm of F1 hybrid were affected to different degrees, and the egg quality score and healthy pupa rate were affected obviously. The degree of influence was as follows: Yunxia 4A>Yunxia 4B>Yunkang 1 ZhongA>Yunkang 1 ZhongB>Yunkang 1 Ri B>Haoyue A>Yunxia 3B>Haoyue B>Yunkang 1 Ri A>Yunxia 3A>Jingsong B>Jingsong A. Therefore, in silkworm areas contaminated by juvenile hormone pesticides, producing parent eggs of silkworm in summer with more rain and in autumn with water spraying could reduce the breeding risk of juvenile hormone pesticides and improve the breeding coefficient.

    Comparative metabolite profiling of rhizome and bulbil of wild Chinese yam (Dioscorea polystachya Turcz.) from Wuxue by widely targeted metabolomics

    To clarify the metabolites and their relative contents in rhizome and bulbil of wild Chinese Yam (Dioscorea polystachya Turcz.) from Wuxue, widely targeted LC-MS/MS was used to determine the metabolite profiles in rhizome flesh, rhizome peel, and bulbil of wild Chinese yam from Wuxue, Hubei Province. Differentially accumulated metabolites between bulbil and rhizome flesh and between rhizome peel and rhizome flesh were identified by multivariate and univariate analyses. The result showed that a total of 385 metabolites were detected in rhizome and bulbil of wild Chinese yam from Wuxue. There were 70 differentially accumulated metabolites between bulbil and rhizome flesh, among which 43 metabolites were more significantly accumulated in bulbil, while 27 metabolites had higher accumulation in rhizome flesh. Moreover, a total of 81 differentially accumulated metabolites were identified between rhizome peel and rhizome flesh, including 46 metabolites with higher accumulation in rhizome peel and 35 metabolites with higher accumulation in rhizome flesh. In addition, the rhizome flesh of wild Chinese yam was enriched in amino acids such as valine, methionine and alanine. Compared with rhizome flesh, bulbil had higher levels of 18 flavonoid metabolites such as isohemiphloin, C-hexosyl-chrysoeriol 5-O-hexoside and avicularin, while the rhizome peel was more enriched in trans-zeatin-O-glucoside riboside, acetyl-L-carnitine, vitamin B2, C-hexosyl-chrysoeriol 7-O-hexoside and quercetin-3-methyl ether. This study demonstrated that rhizome and bulbil of wild Chinese yam from Wuxue contain abundant metabolites, and could be rationally developed and utilized based on the type and function of metabolites.

    Sap flow change rules of apple tree under different irrigation amounts and its influencing factors

    To analyeze the sap flow change rules of apple trees under different irrigations amounts (single irrigation quota 99.0, 148.5 and 198 m3·hm-2, which were respectively marked as W1, W2 and W3) and the influence of meteorological factors on it in Aksu area, red apple trees (red love 119/06) was used as materials, sap flow rate of the apple trees were continuously observed by TDP contact-pin sap flow meter from June to September in 2020, and HOBO small meteorological station was used to automatically acquire the meteorological data. The results showed that the sap flow rate of apple trees under different irrigation amounts present a variation trend that were higher at daytime and lower at night, and the changes of sap flow rate at night were stable. The order of average daily sap flow rate of apple tress was W3>W2>W1. Air temperature, solar radiation and vapor pressure defict difference were the key factors affecting sap flow rate on the instantaneous time scale, 50 cm soil volumetric moisture content had a significant effect on sap flow rate at daily scale. Proper reduction of irrigation water was beneficial for the improvement of irrigation water productivity, increasing the total content of sugar and vitamin C, as well as reducing the total acid content. The irrigation amount disposed by W2 was more suitable for the irrigation of apple trees in the research area. The sap flow rate of apple trees was higher in July and August, the transpiration water consumption was high in this period, irrigation should be carried out timely, and the best irrigation should be before sunrise or after sunset.

    Genome-wide identification and expression analysis of ALMT gene family in radish

    In order to explore the response of aluminium activated malate transporter (ALMT) genes to biotic and abiotic stress in radish,ALMT genes of radish were genome-wide identified by bioinformatics method and expression patterns were analyzed based on RNA-seq data. The results showed that there were 17 ALMT genes in radish genome, and distributed on eight chromosomes. Exon number of these genes ranged from 5 to 7, and 5-6 transmembrane domains were predicted in their N-terminal region. Number of RsALMT genes on chromosomes was different. Expression analysis of RsALMT genes in different tissues and developments stages,treatment with Agrobacterium tumefaciens and heavy metal (cadmium, chromium and lead) showed that RsALMT1 and RsALMT13 might be involved in resistance to the infection of A. tumefaciens, RsALMT3 might control stomatal open, while RsALMT7, RsALMT11 and RsALMT14 mightbe involved in stomatal closure.RsALMT15 might regulate the accumulation of chlorophyll in flesh of radish and RsALMT16 might be involved in resistance to leadstress.Therefore, the above results would provide a theoretical basis for further study on the functions and molecular mechanisms of radish ALMT family members in response to biotic and abiotic stress.

    High affinity K+ transporter (HKT) involve in salt tolerance response through maintaining Na+/K+ homeostasis in cellar and whole plant. VfHKT1;1 gene was cloned using RT-PCR and PCR in this work and the gene encoded an open reading frame (1 659 bp) consisting of 552 amino acids. Phylogenetic tree analysis indicated that VfHKT1;1 belong to HKT subfamily Ⅰ and shared the highest sequence similarity with MtHKT1;1, so it was named as VfHKT1;1. The bioinformatics analysis showed that VfHKT1;1 was stable, which also contained 8 transmembrane regions and no signal peptide. It was supposed to be an ion transporter which usually located at membrane because it contains a typical TrKH conserved functional domain of HKT family. Real-time fluorescent quantitative PCR showed different expression levels of VfHKT1;1 gene in root and leaf. The expression of VfHKT1;1 gene in root was suppressed under salt stress.Whereas it had higher transcript levels in leaf under salt stress, the expression peak appeared at 1 h after NaCl treatment. Then, the expression level of VfHKT1;1 gene gradually declined with the NaCl treatment time.

    Bioinformatics analysis of peach NAC gene family and its expression characteristics in response to low temperature stress

    NAC (NAM-ATAF1/2-CUC2) are transcription factors with multiple biological functions,they play an important role in plant response to abiotic stress, hormone signal response and organ formation.In order to understand peach NAC protein (PpNAC) and its response during low temperature stress, the members, structure, function and expression of peach NAC family gene under low temperature stress were analyzed by bioinformatics and qRT-PCR.The results showed that there were 119 members in NAC family of peach, named as PpNAC001- PpNAC119. The amino acid length of PpNACs ranged from 68 to 862, with an average of 352 aa. Molecular weight ranged from 7.2 to 96.1 ku, and isoelectric point ranged from 4.3 to 9.5. Except for PpNAC119, the rest genes were located on eight chromosomes of peach. The analysis of gene structure and conserved motif showed that gene structure of the members in the same subgroup was similar, the number and length of exons were basically the same, and types and sequence of motifs contained in the members in the same subgroup were similar. The differences among different subgroups might be related to their functional specificity. The cis-acting elements in 2 000 bp sequence of PpNACs promoter was analyzed. The results showed that abscisic acid responsive, light responsive, MeJA-responsive, low-temperature responsive and auxin responsive elements accounted for a large proportion of all the selected elements. qRT-PCR analysis showed that the expression level of some genes was not significantly up-regulated compared with the control under 4 ℃ low temperature stress for 2 and 6 h.The expression levels of 16 NAC genes were significantly up-regulated after 12 h of low temperature stress.

    Hyperspectral estimation of leaf water content of Lycium barbarum based on continuum-removed method

    In order to explore the potential of continuum removal method for estimating water content of Lycium barbarum leaves, Ningxia L. barbarum main plant variety Ningqi 7 was used as research object, the natural water loss method and drying method were used to determine the water content of L. barbarum leaf and the original spectral reflectance was processed by continuum removal method. Response characteristics of the continuum removal spectra to water content were analyzed, and correlation between the continuum removal spectra, absorption valley characteristic parameters and water content of leaves was analyzed, and a model for estimating water content of L. barbarum leaves was established.The result showed that continuum removal spectra could amplify the response characteristics of absorption valley band to water content, and the spectral reflectance in 1 100-2 200 nm band was the most responsive to the water change of L. barbarum leaves. The correlation between continuum removal spectra and water content of leaves in 1 500-1 850 nm band was enhanced. The multiple regression model based on the right area of the absorption peak in 900-1 100 nm band, the right area of the absorption peak in 1 270-1 700 nm band, and the total area of the absorption peak in 1 100-1 270 nm band was the best, its modeling set coefficient of determination was 0.787 0, validation set coefficient of determination was 0.800 3, root mean square error was 0.683 3 and mean relative error was 0.72%, which could be used to quantitatively estimate water content of L. barbarum leaves.

    Research on compensation standard for carbon sequestration afforestation based on carbon sequestration income and loss of wood income

    Based on the survey data in Tongshan County, Jiayu County and Chongyang County of Xianning City in Hubei Province, China, the improved Faustmann-Hartman model was introduced to calculate the carbon sequestration income, wood income and expected value of forestland of carbon sequestration afforestation with Chinese fur under different stand ages. Then, the compensation standard for carbon sequestration afforestation was determined based on the carbon sequestration income and the loss of wood income of farmers, and the impact of economic factors such as wood price, carbon price and interest rate on compensation standard was discussed. It was shown that the expected value of forestland (combined with wood income and carbon sequestration income) reached the maximum value of 43 986.01 yuan·hm-2 in 22 a under the given conditions. Compared with the maximum expected value of forestland, the wood income in 30 a was only 29 593.42 yuan·hm-2. Thus, the ecological compensation, which should be the comprehensive of carbon sequestration income and farmer’s loss of wood income, was 14 392.59 yuan·hm-2. When the compensation period was set as 30 a, the ecological compensation standard for carbon sequestration afforestation should be 832.33 yuan·hm-2·a-1. The compensation standard was most sensitive to changes of wood price, which was followed by the interest rate, and finally the carbon price. Based on the above findings, it was recommended to formulate reasonable compensation standard for carbon sequestration afforestation based on carbon sequestration income and loss of wood income, strengthen technical training for farmers on carbon sequestration afforestation, and establish a sound carbon trading market system to ensure forestry carbon sequestration supply and achieve multi-benefit coordinated development.

    In order to reduce the impact of vibration during logistics on the storage quality of Agaricus bisporus, a special cushioning package was designed by using foamed polyethylene (EPE) as the material to fix the handle of single mushroom. The ordinary cushioning packaging and non-cushioning packaging were used as the control.A. bisporus with different packaging was stored at 4 ℃with 16 h of simulated transportation vibration, and relevant indexes were measured every 3 days. The results showed that the special cushioning packaging reduced the browning degree, delayed the aging process, reduced the consumption of antioxidant substances, maintained the activity of antioxidant enzymes of A. bisporus, and the storage quality of A. bisporus with the special cushioning packaging was better than that with ordinary cushioning packaging or non-cushioning packaging, which indicated that the special cushioning packaging had good damping effect and could be applied in the logistics of A. bisporus.

    Effects of different heat treatment methods on quality of leisure pine nuts

    To improve the quality of leisure pine nuts, using three different heat treatment methods, i.e.vacuum frying, water boiling and ordinary frying to heat the pine nuts, the change of acid value, peroxide value, saponification value and antioxidant capacity of leisure pine nuts were determined under different heat treatments. The results showed that the acid value of vacuum-fried and boiled pine nuts were higher than that of ordinary fried at 4 min. The peroxide value of ordinary fried pine nuts were significantly higher than that of water-boiled and vacuum-fried at 4 min(P<0.05). The peroxide value of vacuum-fried pine nuts will rapidly increase to (0.3±0.05) g·kg-1 which was approaching to the ordinary fried at 4 min. The saponification value of the vacuum-fried group was slightly higher than that of the water-boiled group, but no significant difference was observed(P>0.05). The antioxidant capacity of the vacuum-fried and water boiled pine nuts were significantly higher than that of the ordinary fried at 4 min, and water boiled pine nuts showed the best antioxidant capacity. Therefore, the functional nutrition of pine nuts can be better retained by vacuum frying and water boiling.

    Calibration of parameters of black soldier fly in discrete method simulation based on response angle of particle heap

    Black soldier fly plays an important role in reducing the cost of livestock and poultry manure discharge and farm pollution. However, black soldier fly separation was a difficult procedure for the follow-up comprehensive utilization of livestock manure. The parameters of discrete element model for black soldier fly was important for black soldier fly separation based on EDEM simulation software. A method was proposed to calibrate the parameters of discrete element model for black soldier fly based on tests of the angle of repose. Firstly, the “Hertz-Mindlin with JKR” contact model in the system was selected and the angle of repose was taken as the evaluation index to calibrate the parameters for the discrete element simulation model of the black soldier fly. Secondly, it was found that not all discrete element model parameters of black soldier fly had significant impact on the angle of repose, only three parameters (shear modulus, static friction coefficient and rolling friction coefficient of the black soldier fly) that had significant influence on the accumulation of the black soldier fly were selected by Plackett-Burman design test. Then, the best range of three significant influencing factors was determined by the steepest climbing test, the other seven factors in this test were the intermediate values of the initial range, and the three significant parameters gradually were increased and decreased until the relative error between the simulated value and the physical test value reached the minimum. Finally, the accumulation angle of black soldier fly was taken as the response value, quadratic regression orthogonal rotation combination test was used, and the repose angle regression model was obtained. The regression model was optimized, and the optimal values of three significant factors were obtained: black soldier fly shear modulus was 8.67 MPa, static friction coefficient was 0.43, rolling friction coefficient was 0.32. By using the optimal parameter combination for simulation analysis, the mean value of the accumulation angle was 35.84°, the physical test was 34.66°, the relative error between them was 3.40%. The results showed that this method was feasible for the calibration of discrete element simulation parameters of the black soldier fly, which provided a basis for material characteristics data for the design and research of screening machinery of the black soldier fly based on EDEM software.

    Analysis of laying performance and influencing factors of laying hens based on VAR model

    The laying performance indicators of laying hens include laying rate and average egg weight of qualified eggs. The laying performance of laying hens is affected by many factors such as the individual laying hens, feeding management, breeding environment, disease and other factors. It is very important to study the influence of various factors on laying performance and its time delay effect for laying hen breeding. A vector auto-regressive (VAR) model was established with laying hens’ feeding, drinking water, environmental temperature and humidity as the main influencing factors to realize the medium and short-term prediction of egg production rate. The prediction accuracy rate was 98.6%. Based on this model, the analysis showed that the environmental temperature had the greatest impact on the laying rate of laying hens and the impact lasted for 3-4 days and reached the peak on the first day. The food intake had the greatest impact on the average egg weight and the impact lasted for 4-5 days, also peaking on the first day.

    Based on the harvest mode and flax characteristics in northwest China, a full feed flax threshing and cleaning machine was developed. The threshing device adopted the threshing drum consisting of corrugated rod and cutter teeth, and grid concave, while the cleaning device adopted the combination mode of vibrating screen and suction fan. The complex materials were threshed and cleaned through screening and air separation and screening. The biological characteristics of flax were measured, and the key component parameters of the full feed flax threshing and cleaning machine were determined according to the measured data, and were numerically simulated by flow field analysis. The results of the prototype test showed that the removal rate of the working prototype was 97.27%, the impurity content was 2.74%, the crushing rate was 1.86%, and the loss rate was 3.25%, which met the requirements of the operation performance standard.

    In this paper the location decision factors of agricultural cross-regional investment of Zhejiang investors were identified and analyzed from a macro perspective through a multiple regression model. Additionally, the relative importance of influencing factors was further explored from a micro perspective based on survey data of investors. Results showed that local investment volume generally declined from the East to the West, with a higher concentration in surrounding provinces and in provinces with a higher output of agriculture. Endowment of cultivated land resources, the foundation of agricultural development, the physical environment matching the industrial type and the distance to the product consumption market were the leading influencing elements in decision-making. The investors gave priority to economic factors including land, agricultural infrastructure, labor and transportation, followed by other social and administrative factors such as social security, folk customs and related supporting policies of the candidates. Therefore, local governments should take the strategy of “targeted investment attraction” and improve the commercial environment in order to attract more agricultural investments from outside.

    Nitrogen application rate and reduction potential in northeast China in 1987-2018

    In the present study, northeast China (including Heilongjiang Province, Jilin Province and Liaoning Province) was selected as the study area. Firstly, the nitrogen application rate in 1987-2018 was investigated. Then, the nitrogen demand and nitrogen utilization rate were calculated based on the situation of 2018, and the nitrogen reduction potentials under short-term, mid-term, long-term scenarios were evaluated, respectively. It was shown that the nitrogen application rate in northeast China exhibited an overall increasing trend in 1987-2018. The nitrogen utilization rate in Heilongjiang Province was 157.11% in 2018, indicating high consumption of soil nitrogen; while the nitrogen utilization rate was 69.00% and 69.27% in Jilin Province and Liaoning Province, respectively, indicating tight balance of nitrogen input and output. Under short-term, mid-term and long-term scenarios, there was no nitrogen reduction potential in Heilongjiang Province. Under short-term scenario, the nitrogen reduction potential was 47.19% and 46.99% in Jilin Province and Liaoning Province, respectively. Under mid-term scenario, there was no nitrogen reduction potential in Jilin Province and Liaoning Province. Under long-term scenario, with application of organic fertilizers, the nitrogen reduction potential was 26.07% and 25.78% in Jilin Province and Liaoning Province, respectively.

    Strategies and implications of soil pollution prevention and control in Japan from perspective of transaction costs

    Since the 1970s, Japan has promulgated a series of soil pollution prevention and control laws, which have been continuously improved and revised according to the changes of population, resources and economic structure. Thus, Japan has gradually established a set of systematic soil pollution prevention and control management system, which makes Japan one of the most advanced countries in the world for soil pollution prevention and control. Based on the transaction costs of soil pollution prevention and control, we compared the search cost, negotiation cost and execution cost of different policy tools adopted by Japan for point source and non-point source soil pollution. It is found that that the key strategy to realize effective prevention and control against point source soil pollution in Japan lies in the comprehensive use of policies and regulations, economic tools and educational tools. For non-point source soil pollution areas in Japan, the sources of pollution are difficult to monitor, the search cost is huge, and the effect of mandatory policy regulation is not good. Thus, the strategy is to use educational tools with low transaction costs. In the process of soil pollution prevention and control in China, we can learn from Japan’s experiences, make full use of policies and regulations, economic tools and educational tools, and optimize soil pollution prevention and control measures from the aspects of legislation and law enforcement, zoning governance, and enhanced disclosure of pollutant discharge, so as to improve the efficiency and quality of soil pollution prevention and control.

    Salt stress is one of the important environmental factors that limit plant growth and yield. After long-term evolution, plants have formed a set of regulatory mechanisms that response to salt stress. Transcriptomics can reveal the regulation mechanism of plants in response to salt stress from the overall transcription level of plant mRNA, which is of great significance for the study of plant salt resistance and salt tolerance. Aiming at the transcriptome study in revealing the mechanism of plant response to salt stress control in the research, this paper expounded on differentially expressed genes of signal transduction, osmoregulation, endogenous hormone synthesis, photosynthesis, reactive oxygen removal, secondary metabolism, cell wall synthesis and transcription factors. The mechanism of salt tolerance in plants was analyzed at the transcriptional level, which could provide a reference for molecular research of plant stress tolerance in the future.
