Abstract: This paper reviewed the development and main achievements of nuclear agricultural sciences in Zhejiang province in the past 50 years, including radiation mutation breeding, space mutation breeding and related heredity mechanism, radiation sterile insect technique and related molecular biology mechanism, the agricultural products storage and preservation by irradiation processing, isotope tracing techniques for animal-plant physiology, biochemical and agrochemical safety. The possible development and trend of nuclear agroscience was discussed and the modern bio-technology and infotechnology was suggested to be introduced for improving its methodology．
