Abstract: A soil pot experiment was conducted at suburb of Hangzhou, Zhejiang, China in 2012 to determine the relationship between soil available phosphorus (Olsen\|P) contents and eggplant fruit qualities by 10 types of curve regression equation. The results showed that the solidity of eggplant fruits significantly increased as increasing Olsen\|P contents. The protein contents in the eggplant fruits significantly reduced as increasing Olsen\|P contents (55-202 mg·kg-1). Rutin contents in the eggplant fruit significantly reduced as increasing Olsen\|P contents (77-202 mg·kg-1). The maximum contents of protein and rutin were obtained from Olsen\|P at 55 and 77 mg·kg-1, respectively. It is not necessary to apply phosphate fertilizer to the soil when Olsen\|P exceeds 77 mg·kg-1.
