Abstract: In order to research the polymorphism of Nramp1 intron 6 and its correlation with piglet diarrhea, this study analyzed the polymorphism of the Nramp1 intron 6 in Bamei pig and Yantai black pig by PCR-RFLP. The results showed that the polymorphisms of Nramp1 intron 6 were not rich in two pig breeds, two alleles (A, B) and two genotypes (AB, BB) were detected, the polymorphic information content was 0.33 in Bamei pig and 0.36 in Yantai black pig. The Chi square fit test showed that the Nramp1 intron 6 deviated from Hardy-Weinberg balance extremely in two pig breeds (P<0.01). The results of the least square showed that, the diarrhea resistance ability of Bamei pig was stronger than that of Yantai black pig (P<0.05). The gender and genotype of the Nramp1 intron 6 did not significantly influence piglet diarrhea alone (P>0.05), but the interaction of the gender and genotype influenced piglet diarrhea significantly (P<0.05) in female piglets, and the diarrhea score of genotype AB was greater than that of genotype BB (P<0.01), while in male piglets, these two genotypes had not significant difference in diarrhea score (P>0.05).
