Abstract: Cu is an important indicator of heavy metal residues in soil and food testing. Simulating artificial drought conditions, rice of booting stage was watered by CuSO4 solution to study the effect of Cu on the drought resistance of hybrid rice and its residues in soil and rice grain.The results showed that the application of 50 mg·L-1 CuSO4 solution at the booting stage was better than that of the CK, the production increased by 52.7%, grain panicle increased by 37.5% and grain weight increased by 8.3%. Applying the right amount of Cu, Cu residue is not significant between rice and soil．
