Investigation and evaluation on the heavy metals pollution of vegetable planting region in Cixi City

Abstract: The average concentration of Pb, Cd, Cr, Cu, As and Hg in the soils of the vegetable planting region in Cixi City (Zhejiang Province) was 22, 0.17, 65, 27, 0.083, 6.5 mg·kg-1, respectively. The evaluation results of single factor index showed that the heavy metals of the soil in 933% region were safe and Cd was the most important risk factor for the development of Green Food. Compared with the three regions by comprehensive index, the east, middle and west regions of Cixi were safe. The accumulative pollution level of the soil in the west was the safest, followed by the middle and the east.
