Abstract: Correlation and path analysis for 11 agronomic characteristics of beer barley with plot yield, 1 000-grain weight, protein content and α-amylase content. The results showed that: some traits which had prominence correlation with yield were the number of seeds per one plant, grain weight per one plant, the number of seeds and the seed weight in main ear. And 1 000-grain weight, protein content and α-amylase content were significantly affected by the length of main ear, grain weight per one plant, panicles per one plant, the number of main ear, tiller number, basic seedling number and effective panicles number per one acre, in which the h2B of basic seedling number and grain weight per one plant were less than 50%; the heredity effect of the number of main ear and grain weight of main ear was more than other characters, and they had a greater influence on 1 000-grain weight and α-amylase content. Therefore, the number of main ear and grain weight of main ear should be paid more attention in the practice of breeding.
