Abstract: We collected 100 clinical samples from suspected Porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome virus(PRRSV) infection occurred in pig farms for virus isolation. The positive samples of PRRSV detected by RT-PCR were divided into two groups by serum and tissue samples. PRRSV were isolated and cultured with Marc-145 and PAM cell. The results showed that 29 PRRSV, including 21 serum samples (72.5%) and 8 tissue samples (27.5%), were obtained from the 45 positive samples with cell culture. Nineteen and 24 PRRSV strains were respectively isolated with Marc-145 cell and PAM cell, in which 10 PRRSV strains were isolated with both Marc-145 and PAM cell. Data showed that serum was the ideal sample of isolating PRRSV, while the virus had no significant difference in sensitivity effect on Marc-145 and PAM cells.
