Bioinformatic analysis, subcellular lcalization, and expression analysis of SlTCP17 gene

Abstract:

TCP transcription factor is the core regulatory element to regulate plant growth and development and hormone signal transduction process. In order to discover the TCP family members in tomato (Solanum lycopersicum L.) who respond to adversity stress, a TCP family gene SlTCP17 was cloned in this study. We systematically analyzed it by bioinformatics, subcellular localization and qRT-PCR technology. The results showed that SlTCP17 was located in the nucleus, encoding an unstable hydrophilic protein with a relative molecular weight of 45.26 ku, and its secondary structure was mainly random coil (62.74%). Phylogenetic analysis showed that SlTCP17 and SlTCP23 have the highest affinity, followed by AtTCP8. The promoter region was rich in a variety of Cis-acting element related to stress, hormones and light response. The gene showed tissue specificity of high expression in leaves and low expression in roots, and its transcription level was induced by drought, but inhibited by salt and Phytophthora capsici infection. These findings indicate that SlTCP17 is widely involved in the regulation of tomato stress response, which lays a foundation for explaining its molecular mechanism.
