The temporal-spatial dynamic changes of pesticide residues in vegetables and the risk evaluation of the vegetable quality and safety in Cixi City

Abstract: The temporal-spatial dynamic changes of pesticide residues and the risk evaluation of the vegetable quality and safety in Cixi city was studied. Twenty kinds of pesticide residues in seven kinds of vegetables from the vegetable production base,wholesale market and individual peasant household in Cixi were investigated quarterly during a whole year. The results showed that dynamic change trend of pesticide residues first increased and then decreased in 2008. The exceeding standard rates of legume vegetables,stalk and stem vegetables and leafy vegetables were higher than those of other kinds of vegetables,and the pesticide residues of vegetables from individual peasant household were higher than those from wholesale market and vegetable production base. It was indicated that acephate,fenvalerate,triazophos,cyhalothrin,chlorpyrifos and omethoate were the primary factors affecting the safety of vegetable quality in Cixi from the evaluation of safety index and comprehensive pesticide pollution value.
